Community Action Program for Children (CAP-C)
"Gahwahiya:de ~ Family"

The CAPC program is designed to promote the healthy development of Urban Aboriginal children focusing on at-risk families with children ages 0-6 years. By offering community based, holistic and culturally relevant activities and workshops to Aboriginal families in Brantford, we hope to re-ignite the communities sense of belonging. Thus creating a better understanding of their traditional values and beliefs and the significance they play when it comes to raising a healthy family. By involving caregivers, parents and extended family members in all aspects of program design and delivery, we hope to instill a sense of "owership, pride, responsibility and strong family values".
