Greetings from the Executive Director

 

Greetings to everyone from the staff of De dwa da dehs nye>s Aboriginal Health Centre.

 

Our Health Centre in its development phase has grown in a good way.  Indeed, there have been many challenges however we have always managed to integrate these challenges in a positive way for the overall operation of the Centre.  The evolution of the Health Centre over this past year has progressed at a rapid pace.  The bumps along the way have indicated to us that we are on the right path and that we are on track.    We continue to be committed however to the vision as stated in the proposal that was funded by the Aboriginal Healing and Wellness Strategy.

 

The De dwa da dehs nye>s Aboriginal Health Centre was created to assist Aboriginal people to access culturally appropriate health programs and services.  Our Health Centre focuses on preventative and primary wholistic health care.  Wholistic health care applies to all aspect of the person – spiritual, mental, emotional and physical.  Clients may choose to see a nurse, doctor and/or traditional healer.  We are here to serve all Aboriginal people and families, we will offer assistance to mainstream health providers to provide care in a culturally sensitive manner.
