Youth Program Coordinator
Sago Skenno, Ahnee, Good day!
Just a few lines to let you know what’s happening with the Youth Program. I am:
Ø Working with the agencies that are proposing a 24 hour youth crisis mobile service for Hamilton.
Ø Working with the youth service agencies in Hamilton to provide outreach to First Nations street youth.
Ø Working with Sanford Avenue School on their Nutritious Snacks program and After-School Recreation programs.
Ø Working with the Hamilton Aboriginal Youth Wellness Conference Committee to promote an essay contest that will offer a total of $1,800.00 in prizes. The topic is “Healthy Lifestyles lead to Healthy Careers”. If you are interested in the essay contest, call me at the Aboriginal Health Centre for details.
If you have any programming ideas or concerns and are a youth between the ages of 10 years and 24 years call me at (905) 544-4320 or leave a message at (519) 752-4340.
Until next time. Stay alert and be healthy.

Take a Chance Today
Take a chance today and speak your pain
Healing you will slowly gain
Take and chance today and listen to your heart
The end of your hurt will start
Take a chance today and want something new
Your failure will be far apart and few
Take a chance today and follow your spirit
Life, Happiness, you will feel it
Take a chance today, let go of the anger you hold,
A new you will unfold
Take a chance today and cry,
And after you are done, you will know why
You took a chance today.
